Mr. Asrat is a highly enthusiastic professional with a diverse combination of knowledge and practical experience extending from Animal Health, Public Health, Applied Biology, Food Safety, and Quality Management. With his diploma in Animal Health and BSc in Applied Biology, he has served as Technical Assistant in Addis Ababa and Jima Universities, Researcher I in EHNRI under the Ministry of Health where he largely worked on surveillance and monitoring and HIV and related diseases. He then advanced his career and became a Microbiologist, Head of the Microbiology Department and Training, Research and Development Manager, in Bless Agri-food Laboratory Service PLC, a prominent private company working on the least served areas of food safety and quality management. His experience extends beyond national responsibilities to include work as a quality management system consultant and laboratory manager for Golden Spices Manufacturing LLC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Asrat’s expertise includes public health policy and practice, microbiological quality and safety of food, applied biological and biomedical sciences including molecular biology. Most importantly, he has finished his General Masters of Public Health Program with Great Distinction. With his amicable personality, Asrat is now keen to join organizations that can exploit his knowledge and experience in the broad arena of health care programs.
