Job Description
Position: QA/QC E & I Inspectors OFFSHORE SAUDI – Short Term Project

Education:

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspectors shall have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or diploma of Associate Engineer in relevant discipline.
Training / Qualifications

– Computed Based Testing (CBT) approval with passed status in Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines.
– CBT approval in Telecom additionally, will be an advantage.
– Training, Experience, and Certification in the relevant discipline, for which they are qualified to work.
– Be familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities in offshore fabrication projects (Platforms, Structurals, Decks, Pipelayers etc.).

Experience:

– Previous Saudi Aramco approval’s for offshore work for discipline categories.
– Possessing 8000 series SAP No.
– Minimum 8-10 years of experience in relevant discipline.

Technical Knowledge / Skills:

– Ability to coordinate with the client for the preparations and inspection, as per the agreed scope of work or inspection plan.
– Ability to make judgments on the inspection findings.
– Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
– Possess and applies risk-based thinking and works in compliance with SGS Safety rules and obligations.
Responsibilities
– Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
– Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
– Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
– Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections.
– Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
– Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
– Checks power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
– Performs visual inspections, dimensional test, checks rating and material for connection.
– Execute Inspection, interpret results and prepare daily report.
– Ensure the best quality of execution.
– Any other duties and tasks, as assigned by QC Supervisors and Managers on the project.
– Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity.
