Be the voice of Farmington The Palm’s vibrant resort, dining, and spa experiences as Director, Marketing & Communication. This position will showcase your creativity, communication skills, and pride as an ambassador for this active property. With a strong specialization in media relations, this position requires an ability to comfortably interact with key departments, excellent time management skills, multi-tasking abilities, and attention to detail.

Hotel Overview:

Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 391 guest rooms and suites with dedicated Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. A total of 10 food and beverage outlets on the property offer international dining options including Little Miss India, Frevo – Brazilian Churrasco experience, Seagrill Bistro, Ba Restaurant and Lounge, Blowfish, Flow Kitchen, The Cigar Room, and others. Fairmont The Palm also features an expansive pool and beach area with a health club, Willow Stream Spa, and the Fairmont Falcons Kids’ Club.

 

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

To develop and implement effective Marketing and Communication strategies and its activation across all channels

To review and response to advertising requests.
To handle the yearly campaign plan development, execution, and management.
To develop online marketing plans geared to ensure that the hotel is suitably positioned and covered on the internet.
To maximize the visibility of the Hotel on Social Media.
To monitor the ROI of the online campaigns and the management of all online channels.
To ensure the hotel’s websites and content are up to date and keeping the site dynamic for Internet-related exposure and advertising.
To ensure the correct policy and brand standards are followed by the hotel in all marketing collateral, advertising, and E-Commerce.
To liaise with appointed media and advertising agency with design and layout coordination, production of ad material, and the development of stationery, collateral, brochures, and graphics.
To conduct market research to determine the market trends and requirements for existing and future projects.
To track and maintain information about competitors’ and luxury brands’ marketing and communication activities locally, regionally, and globally (campaigns, offers, promotions, advertising, collateral) and to develop and update a filing system for all information.
To organize and conduct photoshoots.
To liaise with the appointed PR agency to generate awareness, develop press releases, news releases, and photo captions for the hotel according to the marketing objectives.
To create the hotel’s press kits, press releases, and creative communication of newsworthy items with the PR agency.
To regularly update the press kits.
To develop and maintain active contacts with the press and key overseas media.
To build a database of key media contacts, social media influencers and VIPs.
To ensure adequate targeted publicity and coverage of the hotel’s positioning, promotional programs, corporate image building, and other activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of  8 years of senior experience within the 5-star hotel industry as well as outside the 5-star hotel industry
Master’s in digital marketing
Extensive background of traditional marketing and communication experience
Opening experience is a must
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications requirement
University/College degree in a related discipline required
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Candidates preferably to have an Accor background
Previous leadership experience within public relations required
